West Angelas - Deposit E & FSW Development

The West Angelas – Deposits E-West & FSW Development projects are located at RTIO West Angelas Mine Site, 110km west from the town of Newman in Western Australia. 

The project scope comprised construction of Phase 1 earthworks, civil and water infrastructure to enable waste material strip and ore mining of deposits E-West and F Southwest (FSW) at the West Angelas Mine. 

Certero Surveys was engaged by Rio Tinto – Sustaining Capital to deliver audit survey services to support the construction works. The project audit survey services included:

• UAV aerial mapping surveys
• Primary control establishment
• 3D earthwork, structural & concrete designs
• UAV site progress data capture 
• Project quantities to verify contractor end of month & final quantity claims
• As-constructed surveys & conformance reporting
