Hope Downs 1 - Low Grade Stockyard

The Hope Downs 1 Low Grade Stockyard project is located at RTIO Hope Downs 1 Mine Site, 100km west from the town of Newman in Western Australia. 

The project scope comprised construction of earthworks, civil and infrastructure to enable extension of the stockyard and increase production of ore at the Hope Downs 1 Mine. 

Certero Surveys was engaged by Rio Tinto – Sustaining Capital to deliver audit survey services to support the construction works. The project audit survey services included:

• UAV aerial mapping surveys
• Primary control establishment
• 3D earthwork, structural & concrete designs
• UAV site progress data capture 
• Project quantities to verify contractor end of month & final quantity claims
• As-constructed surveys & conformance reporting
